The picture that I chose with a shallow depth of field was the picture of the needles with a shell present as well. To create a shallow depth of field, I set the camera on the f-stop of f/4.2. The ISO was set to 400 and the white balance was set to fluorescent. The picture I chose for a large depth of field was the last studio picture of the cameras. The f-stop used to create this photo was f/25. The ISO was set to 100 and the white balance was set to fluorescent as well. The photo that I think is better is the first one of the needles and the shells. I love how the front portion is all in focus and then it is all blurred out in the background. You would probably want to use a shallow depth of field for taking a picture of a flower up close and use a large depth of field for taking a picture of a landscape so everything would be in focus.
