Best Photo
After looking through all my past photos taken, I would consider this one to be my best. This picture follows many elements and principles compositionally. At first glance, I think the raindrops on the leaves catch any audiences eye as well as the crisp edges. The photographic elements and principle of design in my photo follows the rule of thirds, pattern, texture, and rhythm. With the rule of thirds, each leaf draws the eye to the points of each third. There is pattern in this picture with the raindrops covering both leaves. The texture and rhythm is throughout the entire picture, in the raindrops, the cement, as well as the veins in the leaves. This photo can tell many different stories. When I look a this picture I find it has a dark, gloomy meaning because of the black and white effect as well as the positive and negative space and the shadows. If I could recreate this photo, I would definitely try to move the leaves in a different spot that didn't involve the crack in the cement towards the upper right side.
